Does Kylth host my data?
No. Kylth runs on your server, and so do your projects. Their databases and files stay there, unless you send backups elsewhere yourself.
Does Kylth need internet access?
Outbound, yes: to download Kylth’s and Supabase’s images, and for Let’s Encrypt certificates. Inbound, it needs only ports 80 and 443. Kylth never contacts Kylth. Security & permissions lists every connection it makes.
Does checking the licence need internet access?
No. The licence is a signed file that Kylth checks on your server. See Licence.
Can I run Kylth on a VPS?
Yes. Any x86_64 Linux server where you have root, can run Docker, and can open ports 80 and 443 works. See Requirements.
Which architectures are supported?
x86_64 only, for now.
Can I run several Supabase projects?
Yes. Every plan, the Free tier included, allows unlimited projects. The practical limits are the server’s memory and the Max concurrent running setting.
What happens if Kylth stops running?
Your projects keep running and stay reachable, because their traffic doesn’t pass through Kylth. The dashboard, the API, scheduled backups and certificate checks pause until Kylth is back. See How Kylth works.
What happens when my licence expires?
After a 14-day grace period, the Free tier applies. Nothing is switched off, but you can’t add hosts, users or organisations beyond the Free limits. See Licence.
How are backups handled?
Kylth backs up each project, on demand or on a schedule, to the server or to S3-compatible storage. Keep backups off the server for real protection. See Backups.
What access does Kylth need on my server?
Root, and the Docker socket, which is equivalent to root. Security & permissions explains why, in full.
What happens if I uninstall Kylth?
Your projects’ containers and data stay on the server, but their addresses stop working, because Kylth’s Caddy served them. See Uninstall.
Is Supabase included?
Supabase is a separate open-source project. Kylth runs Supabase’s own images for each project.
